Lena Gutschank
Fascinated with the world of circus, Lena Gutschank began her training at a very young age with Valentin Kriger, former artist at the Moscow State Circus. Awarded the silver medal at the European Youth Circus Festival for her duo aerial act at age 11, she formalized her training as an aerialist, dancer, contortionist and actress at the Berlin State School for Circus Arts in the former East Berlin.
Over the past two decades, she has performed at Europe’s most prestigious cabarets and has been a member of various show ensembles in Asia, North America, and Africa.
Today, Lena is a show designer, director, and producer of international performing arts projects. Offstage, she passionately mentors and invests in artistic and creative startup companies around the world. Most recently, she served as Co-Artistic Director for Palazzo, Europe’s premiere dinner show company. As an innovation consultant at Cirque du Soleil’s internal innovation laboratory, C-Lab, she led human performance innovation workshops on three continents.Â
As a mother of two, Lena remains committed to expanding her personal and professional horizons and seeking out opportunities that facilitate cross-cultural exchanges, international artistic collaboration, and personal growth.
